The Guard House (Library)

Spend time in the first structure erected on the property (circa 1760-1790). The guard house was a gunner's hideout, providing strategic cover and munitions advantage from San Sebastian river raiders. Though the original coquina walls still stand, the space has been transformed into a timeless entertainment wing.

Complete with wet bar, mini fridge, brunswick pool table, massive library of literary classics, and comfortable seating and bar tops, the "library" is destined to make memories.

The Dumas Suite- Primary Downstairs Living Quarters

Take refuge in the home's largest suite, which provides ample space and comfort for restful sleep, dress and bath. The attached sitting room is beautifully appointed for groups to gather and get ready for any special occasion.

The large walk-in closet, executive desk and massive mirrors complete the room's warmth and usefulness. The soaking tub, accessible shower and toilet were designed with guest comfort in mind.

"When we first drove up to the Griffin Estate we were pretty much floored. We walked inside and quite frankly it was probably the most beautiful home I have ever been in. The owners must have spent an exorbitant amount of time and money on this place because it is about as magical as you can make an AirBnb. We had a truly awesome experience staying there" - Chelsea Shouppe

Pool & Spa

Soak up the sun in the property's heated pool or relax in the massive hot tub. This outdoor living space is well stocked with lounge chairs, outdoor dining tables and sofas, giving you all the space and seating you need to enjoy with friends and family.

If you're in the mood for a cocktail, feel free to pick fresh herbs from the courtyard garden. Break out the cornhole boards, crank up the fire pit, listen to the Sonos and play Hook and Ring to amp up the fun.

The Sitting Room (Dressing)

Originally a woman's parlor, the sitting room is attached to the Dumas suite and was expertly designed for groups to get ready for events. With large mirrors, seating and vanities, and a beautiful attached bathroom, you'll be glowed up and ready for the big day.

Enjoy some champs and get ready with your girls or your boys. The day or evening is calling, and you'll be looking your best.

"I've served as President of the St. Augustine Historical Society and was a board member for HARB (the St. Augustine Historical Architectural Review Board). I worked with Griffin's over multiple years to ensure that the property's key historical elements were maintained. What they've achieved is first class in St. Augustine. The National Park Service agrees with me and has certified the home as a Nationally Certified Historic Structure" - Paul Weaver, de Avilés Awardee

(4) King Suites

Yallaha is a place for families, gatherings, and parties. We wanted to be sure that your group can enjoy proper accommodations, so we designed (4) separate suites, each with a king-size bed and dedicated bathroom. Each suite is unique, inviting, and properly stocked for a short or long stay.

In addition, the apartment suite offers a respite from the hustle and bustle and comes equipped with its own living room and kitchen. Rest assured that your party will sleep and live well.

The Kitchen and Scullery

Kitchen's were made not just for preparing great meals, but also for entertaining. The double ovens, double dishwashers, large range and double refrigerator work double time to ensure ample storage, cooking and cleaning surfaces to prepare for larger groups. The large leathered granite island is big enough to host your whole party.

The connected scullery is the perfect place for food prop, for caterer access, or if you just want to be a little more out of sight. In addition, the scullery connects to the outdoor ramp, to allow accessible guests entry or for wheeled delivery into the home.

"To us the Yallaha estate in our neighborhood has always been a fascinating part of St Augustine history. But its also been tragic to witness the years of decay and collapse. We celebrated when we heard it was going to be restored rather than torn down. What a glorious transformation it has been!" Karl and Brenda Baird, Neighbors.

The Great Room

Expansive ceilings, sweeping views, exposed white oak scissor truss, a beautiful chess table, large leather chesterfield sofas, surround sound, and a 75" Samsung frame TV are some of the features of this compelling space.

The large dining table accommodates most parties, and the connection to the outside feels effortless. The french doors open up to create a continuing space that stretches from the great room across the pool and courtyard directly into the guard house for an awesome experience for you and your guests.

The Old Wall (and Gardens)

A fully exposed coquina wall standing nearly 25 feet high with an even taller chimney stack is a sight to behold. Originally constructed for the guard house in the late 1700s, early 1800s, the old wall has been left untouched.

We brought in a beautiful garden to add some life, but wanted to leave the wall exactly as she stood. Check out the ancient square well in this area - one of only two that remain in St. Augustine.

"Yallaha is hands down the finest and most luxurious short term rental in downtown St. Augustine. It's one of the oldest homes in the nation's oldest city, and also happens to sit on one of the largest lots. It's a true masterpiece." - John Valdes, City of St. Augustine Commissioner
